Early Makoto Discovered!

While doing some Spring Cleaning, I found what appears to be a very early MakotoTM – Circa January 2007. The Media – Pen, ball point and half a sheet of scrap paper. The piece is unsigned with the title left for the beholder to ponder:

Makoto Art

The ample use of negative space and neutral colors suggest a bold, yet subtle statement. This piece reveals a greater experimentation than the artist’s more formal work. The ‘scribble’ style which has become something of a trademark for MakotoTM reveals a more intimate form of expression.

A variety of materials and techniques are featured in his latest works. More recent examples of Makoto’sTM work include using avantgarde media such as the couch, a table cover and of course mommy’s memo book.
